Million dollar views, a spacious and vibrant setting and food that is worth writing home about.
Belles is a bright and sophisticated setting with some old world charm. The exposed sandstone walls blend beautifully with the modern and minimalistic fit-out.

The restaurant has some casual seating outside and two dining rooms inside. The back dining area is the room with the view. Bar seating spans the windows overlooking Bellerive harbour. On our visit these windows were open making the most of the beautiful weather. The service was attentive and the vibe friendly and relaxed.

The kitchen opens out onto the back dining area but you hardly notice. They run quietly and quickly; the team have customer service down to a fine art.

This GirI was joined by Too Cool (who also happened to be birthday girl) Cute and Caring Mumma and her awesome Lego Boy.
Cool and Caring both chose to go with the Korean BBQ wings and a side of fries with sriracha mayo. Totally not what I expected from these spice avoiders! Both girls said the wings were spicy without being overwhelming ‘for the sake of it’ and the sriracha mayo on the fries had a nice tang to it.

This Girl had their haloumi bun with a side of cauliflower nuggets. The brioche bun was soft and sweet, the saltiness of the grilled haloumi was balanced out by both the creamy slaw and the caramelised lemon crema and the pickles gave it a good crunch.

The cauliflower nuggets were crumbed and fried cauli floretes, golden deliciousness that came with a thick peanut sauce.
Lego Boy, a lad of simple pleasures, was very happy to just chill out with fries and tomato sauce.

Belles opened in September 2016 and offer up their version of burgers and American food with a bit of an Asian twist and without too much of the grease factor. Oh and they’re licensed, so for those that like a beer with their burger – you won’t be disappointed!

They use Pigeon Whole brioche buns, beef from Huon Valley Meat Co, Scottsdale Pork and Marion Bay chicken.
It’s great to see more and more locals supporting locals and a leaning to the ethical side of the market.

Keep your eye on their Facebook page where they post up limited time creations!

They are at 12 Cambridge Road Bellerive

They’re open for lunch Wednesday to Saturday and dinners Monday to Saturday.
